According to Denyse Schmidt, the fabrics in this line are reminiscent of seafaring life in the 19th century. This print, however, belongs squarely in the 1930s prints. Tiny prints, and soft, happy colors against the black. It's a wonderful contrast to your pale and pastel 30s prints - make a statement!
