Helping Hands - Quilts for the Community (E)

Helping Hands: Quilts for the Community

Where: Lower Level at Yankee Pride Quilts, Essex Junction, VT
When: Every third Tuesday of the month | 1:00–4:00 pm

Join us for Helping Hands, our monthly sew-in where customers and staff finish quilts for local charities. Together, we create and donate quilts to organizations such as Laurie’s House, Steps to End Domestic Violence, the Lund Home, the Respite House, and the Refugee Resettlement Center.

We’ll be preparing backings, sandwiching quilts, sewing bindings, and more. All skill levels are welcome — bring your sewing machine if you’d like, but there are plenty of non-machine jobs too. We provide tables, chairs, extension cords, cutting mats, irons, and ironing boards. Our staff will even help carry your machine if needed.

Stop by for the afternoon or just drop in to see what we’re working on. Bring a lunch or snack, or visit one of the nearby cafés.
