Quilter's Choice Collage Class (C)

This class is a "Quilter's Choice".  You can choose any of the Laura Heine designs, from her standard size to one from her "Teeny Tiny" collections. Excluding BOHO Blooms, Whatever's, and Eeny Weeny series because many of the designs in these series do not contain the techniques covered in this class.  It is required to use a Laura Heine pattern in this class.  If you would like to purchase your Laura Heine pattern through Yankee Pride, please contact us (802-872-9300) by Tuesday, September 26, with the name of your pattern.  A 20% discount will be applied for patterns purchased for class.

This class if for all skill levels.  It will be taught in two parts:

Part 1 is the Introduction to Collage which includes pattern and fabric selection, process and material review, and preparation for Part 2.

Supplies for Part 1
- Notebook
- Pencil
- Camera, optional
- Pattern selection is covered in Part 1, so you are not required to have your pattern prior to Part 1
- Bring fabrics that you think you may use in your collage.  We will review them during this class.

Part 2 is when you will be creating your collage.
- All homework from Part 1 should be completed before attending Part 2.

- During the class you will spend the majority of the time learning and creating the quilt top.  Our concentration will be on the creation process, tracing methods for large areas, placement techniques for motifs, layout and construction methods for the background, and, finally, the quilting and binding.
