Have you finished entire flocks of flying geese and perfected half-square triangles? These are the basic building blocks for thousands of quilt patterns. There are more tricks and techniques to be had. We are offering an extended class for these advanced techniques.
There are so many wonderful topics that we have split the class into 2 parts. Part 1 focuses only on piecing techniques with some neat binding tips added. Part 2 starts with machine applique, then continues into more piecing techniques blended with applique methods.
You will learn advanced techniques of quilting, both piecing and applique, by making blocks from the book “Quilter’s Patch”, by Edyta Sitar. We will make the more challenging blocks in her book, sometimes using different techniques than the author. After the classes, you may choose to assemble the blocks from the class to make a throw-sized quilt. You could also make the remaining blocks in the book to finish the twin/full size quilt.
